Dances with Wolves, 2017

Ink, acrylics and gouache, on both 70 and 130 g/m2 wet paper, 50 x 28 cm.

The song is divided in parts.
Every part is turned into a scene.
Every scene is made up of a pile of paintings.
Every pile/scene has its own ‘recipe’, or set of rules.
The beginning and ending of every scene within the song is exactly timed. Every thing happening in between a scene is left to chance.
The themes of the different scenes are not related to the music.

Scenes:
- Random pictures of wolves painted one on top of the other.
- Random pictures of dancing people painted one on top of the other.
- A fragment of a film of a wolf in motion, copied in a painting frame by frame.
- A fragment of a film of a dancer in motion, copied in a painting frame by frame.
- A fragment of a film of a wolf in motion, copied in a painting frame by frame and the frames are then organized in random order.
- A fragment of a film of a dancer in motion, copied in a painting frame by frame and the frames are then organized in random order.
- Two fragments of films of dancers and wolves, copied in a painting frame by frame and then organized randomly.
